Essentials of Teaching & Learning 1: Inclusive Teaching (Online)

Learn about the key terms, frameworks, and principles of inclusive teaching. Join the CTL for a workshop for graduate students focused on strategies and tools for including all of your students in the learning process. We will ask how instructors can create inclusive classroom environments that set up all students for success, as well as how instructors can help students learn through the diversity of experiences and perspectives they bring to the classroom. Learning objectives for this session are listed here.

Prior to this session, participants are expected to have completed a 20-minute module on Canvas. To get started on the module, self-enroll in the Essentials Canvas site. Registration for the live workshop will close the night before it runs.

Attending this workshop and posting reflections satisfies a Foundational Track requirement for participants in the Teaching Development Program (TDP). See bit.ly/ctl-tdp for details.

Note:  If and when conditions allow, we will open up the option of attending sessions in-person. For now, all Spring 2022 sessions of the Essentials series will be held online.

About the Essentials of Teaching Learning series

The Essentials of Teaching and Learning workshop series for graduate students gives you tools as a new or developing instructor to better facilitate student learning and improve your teaching practice. These workshops are best experienced sequentially, though you are welcome to attend them in any order.

• Active Learning, 2/9
• Assessment and Feedback for Learning, 2/16
