Transition to In-Person Teaching (For Faculty)
08/25/2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Register here.
Will you be returning to in-person teaching? What strategies and instructional technologies will you be carrying forward from your online teaching experiences into your Fall courses?
Join us for an opportunity to reflect back on your teaching practices from the last year and plan forward with colleagues as you get ready for a semester of in-person or hybrid teaching. Together we will share experiences, work through anticipated challenges, and consider strategies to best support your teaching whether you will be teaching an in-person or a hybrid/HyFlex course.
In advance of this session, all participants should read the CTL resource “Transition to In-Person Teaching.” We will build on this resource during the session.
This session will be held in a Columbia classroom on Morningside campus and will be facilitated using hybrid (HyFlex) methods. Participants can choose between:
Attending via Zoom. Please complete this University Events registration.
Attending in-person. Please complete this University Events registration and the in-person reservation form: https://forms.gle/YFdSAeCRtc5uarRt6. We have a limited number of in-person seats available for this session, and they are reserved on a “first come, first served” basis.
Note: All participants–whether attending via Zoom or in-person–must complete this University Events registration. A Zoom link will be shared with all registrants 24 hours before the session. Participants attending in-person are encouraged to bring a laptop computer and headset to interact with colleagues joining via Zoom.
