Please join us for our first event of the semester this Friday from 2-4pm in the EALAC Lounge. This collaborative reading workshop will be centred on a rereading of the much discussed Chu mo lang gi rtsa tsig of the 13th Dalai Lama. Participants will work together to review and contribute to a translation of the document, and discuss points of relevance in the field of political and social reform in Tibet by a Tibetan sovereign. Translation will be from Tibetan to English but non-Tibetan readers and members of the public are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served. This event is jointly hosted by The Modern Tibetan Studies Program at Columbia and the Khorlo Modern Tibetan Studies Graduate Group.
