SUMMARY:Addressing Challenges to Equitable Assessment (For Faculty)
DESCRIPTION:\nInstructors may face a number of challenges when working to design and implement equitable assessments in their courses. It is essential for instructors to be able to both identify and address these challenges as they occur so that all students can have an equitable learning experience. Building upon reflections and discussion from the Anti-Racist Pedagogy in Action: First Steps session\, this session will help particpants identify several common challenges to equitable assessment\, as well as possible strategies to address these challenges as they arise. \nPlease note: This session will draw from reflections and activities completed during our live Anti-Racist Pedagogy in Action: First Steps session. We strongly encourage that you complete that session in community with others. If\, however\, you are unable to attend a live offering\, we do offer an asynchronous worksheet that can be completed ahead of this session. \nAfter attending this workshop\, participants will be able to:  \n\nIdentify strategies to address challenges as they arise\nPlan for equitable assessment in their own course\n\n\nColumbia University makes every effort to accommodate individuals with disabilities.
