SUMMARY:Departure & Return: Liu Shiming's Sculpture Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Together with the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China\, the Asian Cultural Center USA is hosting the exhibition of the late Chinese sculptor Liu Shiming’s art works in New York City between Oct 28 and Nov 8 at Asian Cultural Center\, 15 E 40th Street\, New York\, NY 10016 . The exhibition will kick off a series of exhibitions in cities in the US and Australia later this year focusing on the renowned sculptor Liu’s works. Liu Shiming is a very prominent Chinese artist in the history of modern and contemporary Chinese sculpture. The exhibition will show his work which combines elements of traditional Chinese art and culture along with Western techniques and skills. \nIt would be our pleasure to invite you to join us at the\nDeparture & Return: Liu Shiming’s Sculpture Symposium which will take place on:\n  \n\nWednesday\, 12:30 PM\, Nov. 6th\nRoom 555\, Alfred Lerner Hall\nColumbia University\n  \n\nThe Symposium aims to introduce the unique art experiences of Liu Shiming and provide a platform to discuss the issues of modern and contemporary sculpture art.\n  \nSimultaneous interpretation will be provided.
