DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Ning Yuan\, writer\, founder of a clothing brand\, Visiting Scholar at Columbia University (2024-2025) \nModerator: Andrew J. Nathan\, Class of 1919 Professor of Political Science\, Department of Political Science\, Columbia University \nNing Yuan is the author of several widely circulated works of fiction\, owns a bookstore in Chengdu\, has a clothing line made of natural fibers\, and has led in the redevelopment of a village in Sichuan that was devastated by the 2008 Sichuan earthquake.
