SUMMARY:Reading Group: Anti-Racist Pedagogy Theory and Practice
DESCRIPTION:Have you enacted anti-racist practices in your teaching? Are you looking for resources and support for engaging in anti-racist pedgagogical theory and practice? Join the CTL and peer instructors committed to learning more about and incorporating anti-racist pedagogy and practice. Each month\, participants will engage in a discussion around a shared text\, as well as use the time and space to reflect on their own practice and classrooms. \nRegister here.  \nSpring 2021 Semester Meeting Dates:\n– Wednesday\, January 27 10:30-11:45am\n– Wednesday\, February 24 10:30-11:45am\n– Thursday\, March 25 3:00-4:15pm\n– Thursday\, April 22 3:00-4:15pm \nPlease feel welcome to participate in as many gathering dates as your schedule allows; separate registration is required for each event. \nBy the end of each session\, participants should be able to:\n– Reflect on their teaching practices\n– Translate the community dialogue and shared texts into action\n– Enact anti-racist pedagogical practices in their classrooms \nColumbia University makes every effort to accommodate individuals with disabilities.
