DESCRIPTION:Three Seasons is a Sundance award winning feature film shot in Vietnam about the past\, present\, and future of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) during the postwar period known as Đổi Mới (New Life). The film won the Grand Jury Prize\, Audience Award and Cinematography Award at the Sundance Film Festival and was Vietnam’s official submission for the 72nd Academy Award for Best International Film. \nThe film will be presented in its original theatrical 35mm format. \nWriter and Director: Tony Bui\, Artist in Residence\, Weatherhead East Asian Institute \nPanelists: Jason Kliot\, Independent Film Producer\, Joana Vicente\, CEO at the Sundance Institute\, Don Young\, Director of Programs at the Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) \nModerator: Jack Lechner\, Chair of Film\, Columbia University School of the Arts and Film Producer \nThis film is presented by the Weatherhead East Asian Institute and the Columbia University School of the Arts. It is open to Columbia University students and the Columbia community \nThere is a limit of one (1) reservation per person.
