DESCRIPTION:Special zoom event featuring award-winning Vietnamese-American director Leon Le\, entitled Vietnamese Representation\, Queerness\, and Nostalgia in Leon Le’s Song Lang. \nOn Thursday April 1st\, from 8-9:30pm EST Leon will join top Columbia film scholars Ronald Gregg (School of the Arts)\, Takuya Tsunoda (EALAC) and Ying Qian (EALAC) to discuss queer Vietnamese representation in film\, with special focus on Leon’s recent hit\, Song Lang.  We will also provide free streaming of the film Song Lang for twenty-four hours before the event for those who register.
