Curtis\, Director – WEAI Japan Research Program\, Burgess Professor Emeritus of Political Science\, Special Research Scholar \nDiscussant: Takako Hikotani\, WEAI Research Associate\, former Gerald L. Curtis Visiting Professor of Political Science \nIn conversation with Professor Takako Hikotani\, Professor Curtis will discuss the prospects for political change\, the significance of Prime Minister Kishida’s state visit to the US\, and the challenges facing the US-Japan alliance in an ever more tense and complicated international environment\, among other issues. \nThis event is hosted by the Weatherhead East Asian Institute and co-sponsored by the Columbia University Alumni Association of Japan. This talk is part of the 75th Anniversary Summer Alumni Series in Asia. \nThis event requires paid admission and will be hosted off-campus.
