Smuggling in the Straits of Melaka: Dissident Histories
Eric Tagliacozzo, John Stambaugh Professor of History, Cornell University Over the course of half a century in the late 1800s and early 1900s, the British and Dutch empires delineated colonial spheres in Monsoon Asia -- in the process creating new political boundaries.
