The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Columbia University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in modern and contemporary Japanese literature to start July 1, 2020. Demonstrated interest in comparative research and a deep knowledge of Japanese language and culture are necessary. Preference will be given to candidates who also have expertise in another East Asian language/literature. Ph.D. required by the time of appointment.
