Art+Feminism: Wikipedia Editathon

03/07/2018 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Wikipedia Editathon
March 7, 2018
Kent Hall Room 403
Refreshments provided

Join us to create and update articles covering cis and transgender women and the arts on Wikipedia! Representation matters, especially on one of the world’s most visited websites.

Art+Feminism
is a do-it-yourself and do-it-with-others campaign teaching people of all gender identities and expressions to edit Wikipedia. From coffee shops and community centers to the largest museums and universities in the world, we’ve gathered in 500+ events around the world since March 2014.

Bring your laptop, power cord, and ideas for entries that need updating or creation. There will be experienced Wikipedia editors available to assist.

What should I work on? If you have one hour or less, learn more about editing Wikipedia. If you have 90 minutes, add citations to an article in your area of expertise. If you have two hours, add a well-cited paragraph to an article in your area of expertise.

Supported by the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures.
