Please join the Chinese Historians in the United States (CHUS) in this event that aims to provide useful tips and insights for job seekers in today’s academia. It is widely known that securing academic positions in the humanities or social sciences disciplines has become increasingly difficult for doctoral graduates. Therefore, this event is designed to assist fresh doctoral graduates or ABD students in better preparing for their job search.
The event will be a 2-hour online workshop with three junior scholars who have successfully obtained academic positions in the last two years. During the workshop, they will share their experiences and insights on how they prepared for job applications, their job application process, and any other advice they may have for aspiring academics. The workshop is open to all young scholars who are interested in landing a job in academia.
