GSAS Master’s SynThesis Competition

Watch 12 Columbia MA students present their thesis research to a general audience in under three minutes using a single slide!
The annual GSAS Master’s SynThesis competition is an opportunity for MA students from across the Arts and Sciences to showcase their research and presentation skills in a relaxed and collegial environment, and compete for cash prizes. First-, second-, and third-place awardees receive prizes of $1,000, $500, and $250, respectively.
Watch the finalists compete–and cast your vote for Audience Choice–in-person or livestreamed on Zoom. For those who attend in-person, the competition will be followed by a reception with beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres.
