Supporting Hybrid & Online Learning & Teaching (SHOLT) Discussion Session (for Graduate Students)

Preparing to support a hybrid or online course for Fall 2020 as a TA, TF, or grader?

If you haven’t already, be sure to enroll in the Supporting Hybrid & Online Learning & Teaching (SHOLT) course offered by the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) [https://courseworks2.columbia.edu/enroll/WJA8H4] to access the self-paced course that will guide you through content and activities to prepare you for your online teaching assignment. This 90-minute synchronous discussion session will leverage content that was covered in SHOLT, so we strongly encourage you work through the 4 asynchronous Modules in CourseWorks (approximately 4 hours).

During the session, you will have the opportunity to discuss some of the approaches and tactics introduced in SHOLT with other colleagues teaching online for the first time, and experience a few of the strategies that are recommended in the SHOLT modules. At the end of the session, there will be time to engage in Q&A and get advice from CTL staff and the community. Please register as space is limited.
