The Making of Mila

Join a special preview and conversation with the cast and creative team of the new chamber opera Mila that will make its North American premiere at the Angel Orensanz Center on December 7. The opera is a “quintessential Hong Kong story,” exploring society and the plight of domestic workers through the story of a Hong Kong family and their Filipina housemaid Mila. The discussion will also include renowned Filipina photographer Xyza Cruz Bacani. EALAC students will receive complimentary tickets to the preview discussion on December 2, as well as either of the performances on December 7 (3:00 pm and 7:00 pm).
