Chinese Climate Policy
China is the world’s largest emitter of heat-trapping gasses by far. The Chinese government has ambitious policies to fight climate change, including a pledge to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. China leads the world in deployment of renewable energy and electric vehicles, but also in coal consumption and the construction of coal-fired power plants.
