Selections:

Articles to be selected by the instructor after an assessment of the general language proficiency and course objectives of class members is made.
There will be a minimum of six (6) articles included in this semester.

Learning Activities:

A variety of learning activities will be designed and assigned to achieve language application skills.
Preparation, using vocabulary, structure, study activity supplements to each selection, before each session is required

Dictionary:

Far East Chinese-English Dictionay, The Far East Book Company
Ci Hai (Any Edition)

Comprehension Skills (Fall):

Video Laboratory Work. (See detailed schedule)
Independent Studies　(Spring)

Course Contents:

Four skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Dictionary usage
Language application

Homework Assignments:

A variety of wring report is required for each selection, upon its completion. Preparation, using supplementary materials, for each session is required.
