EALAC proudly welcomes Nicholas Bartlett as a new Assistant Professor of Contemporary Chinese Culture and Society at Barnard College. Since receiving his PhD in 2012 in Medical Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco, Professor Bartlett has published widely on heroin addiction, treatment and drug policy in contemporary China. His current research includes a project on long-term heroin users’ addiction recovery in a mining community in southwest China and videoconference exchanges with Chinese psychotherapists for a study of Freud in China.
