Teaching Requirement

Beginning in their second year, PhD students gain teaching exposure through teaching assistant (TA) positions in the undergraduate East Asia program, largely offered by EALAC and the Committee on Asia and the Middle East. These assignments are determined by the Fellowship Renewal and TA Assignment Committee, chaired by the DGS.
